ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

This exhibit provides me the opportunity to explore my approach to landscape painting over twelve years. The exploration involves numerous mediums, subjects, and styles. Most recently I have been working with watercolor on Yupo, which is a nonabsorbent surface. In this technique chance leads the process and the artist must decide what works, and be left alone, and what needs to be manipulated and fixed. Though frustrating at times, it allows me to abstract and freely capture the impression of the landscape in a very different way.
