The Moon Series
The names of the full moons throughout the year are poetic. I have always been fascinated with the name of each full moon and I have wanted to create paintings inspired by the moon names. A few years ago I started the series with two paintings, which you will see below. Beginning in January of 2025 I went all in on the paintings, trying to translate the mysterious poetry of each full moon name into visual images that described the essence of each unique moon throughout the year.
