The Moon Name Series
The names of the full moons throughout the year are poetic. I have always been fascinated with the name of each full moon across cultures and I have wanted to create paintings inspired by these names. A few years ago I started the series with two paintings, which you will see below. Beginning in January of 2025 I went all in on the paintings, trying to translate the mysterious poetry of each full moon name into visual images that described the essence of each unique moon name..
